A big thinker who likes tackling challenges with creative passion, Cathy loves writing for children and empowering them to be, believe, and become. 

​

While she has always written (she wrote her first picture book in fourth grade), before committing full time to writing, she sold shoes, typeset fashion ads, wrapped gifts, prepared deli  sandwiches, practiced environmental law, ran mediation training service, taught college courses, coached soccer, founded a tuition-free school for girls from low-income backgrounds, and coached swimmers and triathletes. 

When not writing or coaching, Cathy celebrates every moment she has by swimming, hiking, traveling, painting, puzzling, and reading.
